Shape pictures This craft activity is great for young children to show their creativity, as it does not involve them doing any cutting or glueing. It also means there is very little clearing up for the parents! Cut a selection of shapes from card or thick paper - triangles, squares, circles, cloud shapes, etc. Make several of each shape in varying sizes. Give them to your child and let them make pictures from the shapes. Once your child is bored of this, store the shapes away in an envelope or little box so that they can be brought out again and again!
