Treasure HuntThis game can be adapted according to the age of the child. For pre-schoolers, draw a list of ten objects which can be found around your house. Or use a digital camera to take a photo of the items and print them off the computer for your child. Keep it simple - a teddy bear, a saucepan, a shoe, etc. For slightly older children write a list of about 25 items for them to search for. This should keep a child entertained for around two hours. Alternatively, write clues rather than naming the object. Such as 'woolly objects you wear on your feet' for socks. If the child finds all the items on the list reward them for their hard work! Or make them a little prize and hide it as part of the treasure hunt.
